Job Description
Main duties/ Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area or the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets.
- Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan.
- Collaborate with planning department to ensure suitable parts; labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
- Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
- coordinate deployment of labour, parts and equipment resources.
- manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivations and discipline.
- monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs proceeding to plan.
- Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections.

Licences and Qualifications
Experience/ Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or national certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
- Bachelor (degree) mechanical engineering.
- 2 years experience Mechanical Coordinator/ Maintenance Team Leader or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant.
- Must have asphalt experience.
