Technical Systems Analyst



Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Technology division of our leading Wealth client. The purpose of this role is through engagement with the change delivery teams to ensure that existing processes and applications have been updated to reflect new changes and that existing support functions are prepared and ready to then support any new changes.

You will work closely with engineering teams, internal stakeholders, Project Managers, and development teams in ensuring a quality end to end technical design is delivered to the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analysis of changes to business systems from a technical perspective, ensuring that the project is clear on Technology Support requirements and that support teams are prepared to support new capabilities and features.
  • Ensure existing systems and processes are not disrupted by change by highlighting issues to the project and get assurance through seeing evidence of testing.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across Change Delivery and the Business, understanding how a change meets the business requirements & interpreting the impact on other systems and support processes and feeding in Technology Operations requirements.
  • Liaising with onsite & offshore development teams.
  • Liaising with third party system and data providers, this will include setting up and leading meetings as well as improving processes
  • Receive project requirements from a variety of differing sources and methodologies and decipher these into clear and concise detailed requirements
  • Assessing the impact of change on existing complex support models.
  • Act as consultant for the technology area for complex problems and issues to help resolve incidents, issues, and complex problems
  • Provide support to the application support team to resolve incidents during peak times of the year.

Who we are looking for:

  • Good appreciation of software development practices
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing implications of change across a broad IT estate
  • ITIL/ITSM processes, especially incident management
  • Experience of working with technology in a regulated environment
  • Experience of a variety of application integration approaches, application development, design and integration
  • Strong understanding of core cloud infrastructure
  • A good communicator, both written and oral
  • Analytical, adaptable, able to problem solve and have a mind for continuous improvement
  • Able to question internal and external stakeholders; in a customer focused manner and able to actively listen
