Packaging Field Sales Specialist

Home based, covering an area of the North

£48,000-£50,000 per year

Job Description

Reporting to the Sales & Customer Services Director you are a trusted member of the UK sales with personal responsibility for developing a network of influential prospects through which to promote and justify the environmental/cost benefits of collapsible, reusable and recyclable plastic packaging as a solution for the Circular Economy.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with local/group marketing and business development resources to define, understand, and segment target markets and applications where reusable and recyclable plastic product and packaging solutions offer a sustainable and cost beneficial solution to the environmental and legislative demands of the developing Circular Economy.

Research, identify, engage and build relationships with decision makers and influencers within your targeted market/application segment who have the foresight to recognise the future demands and benefits of the circular economy. Introduce and position the company as a market leader with the solution design, manufacturing, recycling and reprocessing capability to satisfy their product and/or packaging demands and defragment their journey to the Circular Economy and ultimate closed loop circularity.

Refine your developing network to identify new business prospects and work collaboratively with local and group marketing and business development resources to present, sell and embed our reduce, reuse, recycle, and repurpose philosophy.

Demonstrate the accuracy and detailed understanding of your CRM opportunity pipeline in terms
of the probability and timing (month) of quotation to purchase order conversion. Personally ensure that the scale and quality of your pipeline is sufficient to meet your targeted invoiced sales expectations and demonstrate a consistently improving quotation to order conversion ratio.

Leverage your network to improve our knowledge of target markets, applications, and organisations and understand/qualify the reasons why opportunities in your pipeline fail to convert from quotation to purchase order. Maintain a clear and concise account of prospect feedback in the company CRM system to enable retrospective analysis of how to grow/revive productive/unproductive relationships.
