Packaging Sales Manager

Job Description

Role:

Reporting to the Sales & Customer Services Director, you will be a trusted member of the UK sales team with personal responsibility for the sale of multiuse plastic packaging and other associated products.

Responsibilities:

• Connect with new organisations that represent a logical target for our range of products.
• Create opportunities on the company CRM system for new organisations that are considered credible.
• Establish and manage a rolling contact schedule of face-to-face engagements with potential distributors. Introduce the benefits of the product range in terms of standard product options and bespoke solutions, LCA and eco design principles, pre-qualify potential future sales opportunities and define their associated product design requirements.
• Convert your qualified customer enquiries to a sales opportunity on the company CRM system. Work collaboratively with internal sales and design resources to develop cost product solutions that meet the specified design requirements and present these professionally to existing customers and new organisations.
• Understand obstacles preventing conversion to purchase order commitments and manage their status via the company CRM system to provide an accurate view of their quoted value and proposed month of
  invoice.
• Develop a detailed understanding of your opportunity pipeline and personally ensure that its extent, quality and realistic conversion potential is sufficient to consistently meet your targeted expectations.
• Proactively expedite open sales opportunities working collaboratively with the Sales & Customer Services Director to negotiate, requote and deliver invoiced sales revenues in line with your targeted expectations. Justify and agree lost sales opportunities and capture their reason for closure on the company CRM.

Must have experience in sales in the packaging industry.
